Implementers Forum: Community Volunteers and Next Steps

Hi Everyone,

In September 2011 OpenMRS began a new schedule of weekly forums in response to the community's request for time where newcomers, developers, and implementers could share ideas, receive answers to questions, and collaborate. One of these forums includes the Implementers Forum that presently meets every other week on Thursdays from 1:00pm-2:00pm UTC.

This forum has had its successes, yet we need help from implementers with experience on the ground and first-hand knowledge of OpenMRS to lead and/or facilitate that forum.

What we hope to hear from the community is if there are any volunteer(s) who would like to lead and organize the implementers forum to meet every other week. However, we also want to say here that if anyone could not take full ownership of the biweekly forum - especially knowning that implementers are very busy - then we will merge the Implementers Forum into the University Forum for one implementer-focused discussion every month. If you would prefer to facilitate that once a month implementer-focused discussion, let us know!

Please share your thoughts by 25 May!

All the best,

-Dawn

Re: Implementers Forum: Community Volunteers and Next Steps

As an Implementer, I have to admit that I only participate in the forums when there's a specific need that I have, so the University Q & A sessions have been very useful, and in general if I have a question I email the implementers list rather than wait for the forum, so combining the implementers and university forum might be a good idea.
